Who We Are

A decade of building organic
from the ground up.

Vantage Organic Foods Private Limited was incorporated in 2008 in Jaipur, India. What began as a vision to connect Indian smallholder farmers with the global organic market grew into a multi-continent, fully traceable organic supply chain — one of the most substantial privately-built ones from India.

For over a decade, we operated at every level of the organic food value chain — inducting farmers into certified grower groups, managing internal control systems (ICS), running collection centres, operating a soybean crushing facility in Indore, and exporting to buyers in the USA, Canada, Europe, Japan and South Korea.

All farming projects across continents — India, Nigeria, Benin, Tanzania and Malawi — along with the soybean crushing facility in Indore, are now formally closed. Vantage has entered a focused new chapter — applying its deep organic expertise to essential oil distillation, CO₂ extraction, and precision herbal formulations for modern lifestyle health challenges.

The trust, relationships, and technical credibility built over fifteen years do not disappear. They become the foundation for what comes next.

India holds one of the world's richest traditions of plant-based medicine. We bring that heritage into the present — curating science-informed herbal formulations that address the lifestyle conditions increasingly affecting people today: blood sugar imbalance, poor sleep, chronic stress, and metabolic decline.

Each formulation is built around clinically recognised herbs — Ashwagandha, Gymnema, Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, Triphala and others — selected for their evidence base as much as their traditional standing. Nigeria · 2015
18,728 farmers. 47,400 hectares. Built from scratch.
Starting from zero in May 2015 with a local NGO partner, our team of 150 field extension workers reached every individual farmer for documentation, training, guidance and purchasing. By end 2016, Nigeria was one of our largest certified projects.
Tanzania · 2014–2019
From 0 to 20,000 farmers in five years — with international development funding.
Partnering with Danish NGO ADDA, we trained farmers in central Tanzania in organic practices, documentation and Good Agricultural Practices, together securing development funding to support our farmers.
India · 2012
Where it all began. Guna, Madhya Pradesh.
2,383 farmers in our first organic audit. Then 20,000 in Madhya Pradesh. Then 10,000 in Barmer, Rajasthan. Each cluster was built on personal visits, village meetings and earning farmer trust one conversation at a time.

We worked with smallholder families growing soybean, mustard, cumin, castor and psyllium across some of India's most challenging agricultural terrains. Our field teams managed everything — farmer induction, training in organic practices, documentation for ICS, input supply and final procurement. India was where we learned what it truly meant to build an organic supply chain from the ground up.
Processing Infrastructure
From farm to processed product — we built the infrastructure too.
In India, we operated a 160 MT/day soybean crushing facility in Indore — one of the largest organically certified processing units of its kind in the country. In West Africa, we established processing tie-ups in Nigeria and Benin locally before export. End-to-end control, from field to finished product.

Every farmer group and processing unit we ran was audited by Control Union and other internationally acclaimed certification agencies. We held USDA NOP, EU Organic, JAS, Bio Suisse, Korean Organic, GMP and FSSC 22000 across our farming and processing operations — a standard that now informs how we evaluate every source and supplier in our new ventures.

A first-generation entrepreneur with a commerce degree and MBA in marketing, Vipul founded Vantage Organic Foods in 2008 with a singular conviction — that Indian and African smallholder farmers deserved access to global organic markets.

Over fifteen years, he built one of the most ambitious privately-funded organic supply chains from India — spanning four countries, 75,000+ certified farmers, and buyers across the USA, Canada, Europe, Japan and South Korea. He led every dimension of the business: farmer induction, international certifications, processing operations, subsidiary formation in Nigeria, Benin and the Netherlands, and the securing of international development funding.

With all farming operations now formally concluded, Vipul brings that same depth of sourcing discipline, quality rigour and international market understanding to Vantage's new chapter in essential oils, CO₂ extracts and herbal formulations.

Sheetal has been with Vantage since its founding in 2008, playing a central role in business development, HR management and organisational operations across the company's growth years.

On the business side, she led market research, product launch planning and relationship management with clients and distribution partners — supporting Vantage's expansion into new markets and maintaining long-term buyer relationships. She also managed marketing initiatives including trade exhibitions to build the company's corporate presence.

Operationally, Sheetal oversaw the full spectrum of HR functions — manpower planning, recruitment, induction, compensation policy, performance appraisals and team development — creating the internal structure that allowed Vantage to scale its field operations across multiple countries.

With an M.Sc. from DAVV Indore and additional qualifications in computing, she brings both analytical rigour and strong people leadership to every role she takes on.

An electrical engineer by training with over 30 years of senior administrative experience in the public sector, M. R. Gupta brought to Vantage a level of institutional discipline and governance that is rarely found in early-stage private enterprises.

His background spans large-scale organisational management, regulatory compliance, financial administration and the coordination of multi-departmental operations — skills honed across decades in environments that demand precision, accountability and structured decision-making.

At Vantage, he has been the backbone of internal administration — ensuring that the company's operational framework, documentation standards and compliance processes remained robust even as the business scaled rapidly across multiple countries. His presence gave the organisation a steadiness and procedural rigour that complemented the entrepreneurial drive of its founders.
